Promethea #32
This was originally posted on the Yahoo Groups Alan Moore Message Board
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/alanmoore/ By Jose Villarrubia and is reposted
here with his permission (thanks Jose).
“I just got off the phone with Alan and he gave me some advice on how to read
Promethea 32 that I would like to share with you:
First read the Promethea dialog only in all the pages in the order that they are
printed. When the pages are upside-down, just rotate the page and read the
dialog (monologue, really), left page first and then right and left side of the
page to the right and top to bottom.
After you are done, go back to the start and read the additional captions on
each page in the same order you read the dialog...
Then, take off the staples, and be careful with the bits of glue that hold the
pages together. Tape all the pages in the correct order, two new giant pictures
will appear and read each one of the sides again, this item in a slightly
different order from the first that according to Alan will make even more
sense... there are also paths of stars and ankhs connecting the captions that
define yet another sequencing...
Alan told me that he likes to make his readers work... no kidding”.
Jose Villarrubia
We are also posting the two lager images the book makes once disassembled, they
are too small to read but large enough to see the images they form.

Marvelman Special
“Saturday Morning Pictures”: was published by Quality Communications in 1984 and
was mainly a reprint of earlier (1960’s) Marvelman comics. Linking the reprints
together was a framing sequence (presented here) by Alan Moore and Alan Davis,
tying the story into modern Miracleman comics. This story fits into continuity
after Miracleman #3 and tells the tale of two cleaners sent to the Zarathustra
Bunker after Miracleman’s visit. Please download and use the

This is a rare treat for all Alan Moore fans; the fallowing is from Mad Dog #10
published in 1985, and contains a 5 page solo story of Captain Airstrip One. The

Daredevils #8 (Moore Parodies Frank Miller)
In the UK magazine The Daredevils #8 Alan Moore wrote a 4 page story called
“Grit!”, in it he parodies Frank Millers Daredevil with art by Mike Collins &
Mark Farmer. Could it get any better than Moore riffing on Miller, I don’t think
so.

The World Of The Watchmen
This essay originally appeared in the Watchmen game module “Taking Out The
Trash” published by Mayfair Games in 1987. While trying to write the story for
the game module, Ray Winninger (the module writer) had several conversations
with Alan Moore about the Watchmen and their world. This essay is a result of
those conversations and is credited to both Ray Winninger and Alan Moore. If

Fashion Beast Screenplay Excerpt
The only screenplay Alan Moore ever wrote but the movie was never made. We have
retyped it to make it more monitor friendly (readable), but due to limitations
in html formatting we were not able to exactly duplicate Alan Moore’s original
formatting. Also the copy of the script we have was missing a word from time to
time on the right hand margin of the page. Rather than guess at what the word
might be we have just left it omitted, it sucks I know but thankfully it doesn’t
happen that often.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
These two character model sheets done for the first League of Extraordinary

League that might have been.
